    Having said that, you can take the exam even if your job title is not Project Manager.

    How To Get 35 Contact Hours Of Project Management Training

    Dont worry if you cant instantly think of project management courses you have done. First, go back through your professional development records and see whats there. All project management related training from your entire life counts towards your total.

    For example, if you took a two-day project management class when you were fresh out of school, then you already have 16 contact hours even if that was 20 years ago. As long as you still have a record of the course and an attendance certificate, you can count the hours.

    One hour of classroom instruction equals one contact hour.

    Add up the hours you can already evidence and see what the total is. If you have many years of business experience, you may already have 35 hours. If not, you can that will give you the additional hours that you need.

    How Much Does The Pmp Certification Exam Cost

    What Materials you Should Study to Pass the 2022 PMP Exam

    The first time you take it, the PMP exam costs $555 for those without PMI membership. PMI members, on the other hand, pay $405. If you opt to become a PMI member at the time you sign up to take the exam, youll still have to pay the nonmember rate.

    If you dont pass the exam the first time, you can retake it in the future. This gives you additional time to study, and youll already have some familiarity with the exam format and content. The fee to retake the PMP exam is $275 for PMI members and $375 for nonmembers.

    Once your application is approved by the Project Management Institute, youll have one year to take the PMP exam. You can take the exam up to three times in one year.
